Saturday, August 27, 2011 - This is an outstanding Cabernet based Meritage. It opened immediately upon pouring with a perfume of blackberries, cassis, black cherry, and light vanilla. A vibrant, full bodied wine that is soft but still exhibits a nice balanced tannic backbone with plenty of structure. Although we decanted it, it was totally unnecessary. Impressive long finish with overtures of dark chocolate filled cherries.
