Wednesday, January 2, 2013 - Decanted for 2 hours and then poured back into bottle and drank ~ 2 hours later. Initially 91+/- range but with airtime this was very enjoyable. Cassis, black currants, cedar on the nose. Medium+ body with solid acid / fruit / tannin balance. Black cherry, blackberry, charcoal, black currants on palate with a long finish. Great with grilled steaks. Would buy again. This is my second vintage of Symmetry and this is on par with the '01 that I enjoyed with steaks and about 10 years of age from the vintage date.
