Tuesday, December 3, 2013 - Drank over 2 nights. Resolved after about 2 hours of airtime and didn't change much after that. Color is a slightly tawny ruby, about 70% opaque with clear and very slow legs. No sediment. Light to medium volume on the nose, displaying red berries, cassis, some roses and a bit of hobby glue (which I like). Also some pronounced barnyard and funk which drifted away over time. Medium bodied with brisk acidity. Powerful tannins have a firm hold on the palate and tended to mute the fruit, leaving mostly leather and balsamic notes. Not bringing the real BdM thunder I had hoped for. Medium finish. I expect some improvement in the future. 5+10+15+8 = 88
