Friday, May 17, 2013 - FLAWED! Blech, bad odor, bad taste, definitely inconsistent with prior notes. One of my wine gorup, a casual wine drinker, said "even I know that's a bad wine".

7/8/2015 10:09:00 AM - I can't tell what the perceived flaw is from your note, but it is worth adding that these wines (GER Riesling generally and Prum wines particularly, but JJ and SA Prum) are often bottled with extremely high sulfur, so if you open a bottle with a struck match (at the light end) or a rotten egg smell (at the heavy end), make sure to give it a solid shake and/or a long decant to allow the sulfur to dissolve and escape. It will all escape over a bit of time and should be lovely once its gone.
