Likes this wine:

Friday, October 3, 2014 - Time has served this wine very well. Dark ruby with narrow rim. Blackberry and blueberry aromas immediately emerge from the glass, followed by the intermingling scents of vanilla and coffee. The palate is more of the same; blackberry and blueberry compote (like the fruits in a pie), laced with bittersweet chocolate and espresso. In spite of the fruit-forward aspect of the wine, there is ample structure (sweet tannins) to keep the wine from being anywhere near flabby. Acidity is medium(-) and the finish is long. I could see this wine drinking well for several years more but I will probably drink my other bottle within a year or two. Overall impression - Excellent.
