Friday, September 7, 2007 - BirDungy opened this because he heard reports that there were a bunch of fake '95 Sassys proliferating around London and he wanted to make sure his bottles were the real deal. He can rest easy. This was a bruiser that is years away from revealing its tightly wound core. We tasted over the course of three hours and it its heft and weight remained intact. Smoky chocolate notes on the nose. Primary flavor of roasted plums and a hint of fennel on the palate. Long chewy finish. Hold for at least another 5 years.
