The palate is much more impressive than the nose, but this is a great combination of baked fruits, slightly grilled pineapple and smoke. There is enough structure to keep the fruit in perfect balance. The muddled nature and general reluctance on the nose keeps it from moving into the classic range, but this is still an exceptional wine.
