Allow to breathe for at least 2 hours for best drinking.
Wine best consumed from a Riedel Viviant Burgundy 28OZ:
Compared side by side with a 28OZ Riedel Bordeaux.
This Burgundy glass showed a much better aroma, and flavor profile than the Bordeaux
Aromas of peppers, black pepper, dark fruits, and a hint of bacon fat.
The palate is rich and mouth filling, almost creamy, with ripe dark fruits, earth, followed by a nice spicy finish.
Was surprised to get the bacon fat from the syrah making up only 10% of the wine. The syrah could have very well aided in the overall structure and complexity of the wine. Was only detectable in the burgundy glass I spoke of.
