Wednesday, November 30, 2011 - The 2009 has just been selected by Matt Kramer as one of three wines of the year. Lovely nose with citrus fruits, candied citrus, ginger, and a touch of toasty oak. This is complex and fresh at the same time, and started to evolve. Palate is dense and rich, with crisp acidity balancing it's viscous texture, but somehow the parts not (yet?) fully integrated. 2007 Tokajis are quite smooth generally (including Demeter's off-dry Szerelmi Hárslevelű 2007), may be it just needs some time.
