Saturday, December 5, 2020 - (Bordeaux 2002 tasting)
Full, classic, lovely nose. Cedar, black fruit and some coffee toast perfectly integrated. Almost aromatic. Luxurious.
Medium-fullish, fullish palate. Ripe, but not altogether mature tannins. Dense and with very good concentration. Very Pauillac. Very classic. Long and concentrated.
2002 is without doubt the weakest vintage of the 2000's. And more fullish and rich than this Mouton it is hard to imagine. Very appealing. Delicious now, can be cellared further.
