Sunday, February 8, 2015 - Upon removing the cork, strawberry preserves were prominent on the nose. After decanting a brief moment and tasting, to my surprise this wine did not allow me to zero in on a specific fruit profile. Cola, coffee, cedar and wet stone were the prominent aromas. The palate presents a very balanced, racy presentation of the same notes. Just a remarkable, complex example of Santa Rita Hills pinot with the usual, consistent style afforded by the expertise of Brewer Clifton. Well done!
