Thursday, May 23, 2013 - Disappointing. High pitched, thin cherry notes dominate the experience, without much depth or structure. A little bit like a hard candy. Maybe shut down a little bit and that's keeping the other flavors from coming out, but the high pitch fruit argues otherwise. Also missing the signature peppery finish of a CdP.

5/24/2013 5:07:00 AM - A shame. I had the 2008 last Friday night and it is drinking very nicely now with a definite peppery finish. I've held off trying any of my 2009's for now and am hopeful that the wine may just be in that awkward phase. Thank you for the note.
