Thursday, January 30, 2020 - Dark. This doesn't look over 10 years old! Very youthful. Masses of rich, sweet fruit. Tonnes of alcohol. Tannins very much there - though you'd find this flabby if they were too soft. Plums. Compote. Darker notes. Almost heady. Sweet. Grippy finish of tannins and acids. Not complex but hedonistic. Gutsy. Hard to know how you match this to food! Though I like this very much indeed.

Why is this so cheap? (£33-£40 GBP pre-tax) The latest round of 2016s in this kind of style and quality all came out at twice this price.
