Saturday, September 14, 2013 - Drank this over dinner with the JJs. Very good bottle of sorella and my first shot at the 08 version. Not drinking nearly as nicely as the bottle of 06 that I had last November. Overall with an hour to open up it is showing very well at this point. Nicely balanced with the fruit remaining nicely intact and moderate very smoothed out tannins. Went very nicely with some medium rare NY strips. Not sure I was impressed enough to make the QPR work though.

9/14/2013 1:05:00 PM - I look at the Sorella as more of a collectible than a QPR. Its pricey, but the Two Blonde and ciel du Cheval were offered to their email listed members on sale for 29.99 per bottle. Those are the QPR along with the Cabernet from Discovery, but that won't last long either. The good Washington producers will go the way of Napa in the very close future. I expect 2012 prices to be on par with Napa 2007 prices, but they may be higher. We shall see!
