91 Points

Friday, July 7, 2017 - Friend bought and kept himself for 30 years - clean pop of the cork. Fruit was very well-integrated, and the tannins were fully resolved. Wine was completely harmonious, with no rough edges. It did not have the clunky and chunky feel of young American cabernet, but rather behaved with class much like a proper claret. I cannot agree with the previous reviews claiming that this Wine is dying - perhaps if the reference point is American. This Wine tasted like it was just entering the secondary phase of its life cycle, much like great clarets.
Low 90s out of 100 points, where 80 represents a good wine.
