Beautiful red. Excellent smell emanating from the glass, great bouquet of flowers, cassis, and dark berries. Very reminiscent of Right Band BDX in terms of taste. Very luscious and hedonistic. Very full, silky - the tannins are fully resolved. The wine is in a perfect place right now, and I will be drinking them until the window closes.
In a scale where 85pts represents a good wine, this wine is an A at this moment for drinkability and hedonistic quality, in the same league of greatness as great 2010 Chateau Smith, 1996 Pichon Lalande, 1998 Chateau de la Gardine. If you find, do not hesitate - very credible.

Friend bought and kept himself for 30 years - clean pop of the cork. Fruit was very well-integrated, and the tannins were fully resolved. Wine was completely harmonious, with no rough edges. It did not have the clunky and chunky feel of young American cabernet, but rather behaved with class much like a proper claret. I cannot agree with the previous reviews claiming that this Wine is dying - perhaps if the reference point is American. This Wine tasted like it was just entering the secondary phase of its life cycle, much like great clarets. Low 90s out of 100 points, where 80 represents a good wine.

Perfect condition, not corked, oxidized, nor maderized, and high fill past shoulder. Hate seeing other reviewers rate their flawed wine as fine wine; it skews the true rating.
The wine was brick, body was light-medium, nose was banana peel and citrus. Incredibly long finish. Opened and tasted through roughly 6 hours - showed best about halfway through. Acid level was minimal; sometimes can turn tart to bitter at this age.
