95 Points

Thursday, April 9, 2009 - Deep garnet colour; very dark in the core. No sign of bricking at the rim yet. Powerful fruity nose with redcurrant, cassis and blackcurrant; all underpinned with cedar and a hint of green pepper. Medium bodied, good acidity and mouth-cleansing tannins. Real complexity on the palate; cedar, blackcurrant, stewed fruits and an earthiness which evolved into more spicy winter fruit and dark chocolate over the life of the bottle. Superb length in the mid palate and in the powerful rich finish. I think this has years left too. Wow. Amazing.
