Saturday, September 12, 2009 - Dark purple color in the glass. Huge nose of ripe, extracted in your face fruit with graphite and pencil lead, ludens cherry cough drop and a touch of pyrazine. Palate is bursting with layers upon layers of ripe fruit and a healthy amount of oak without being over done. Definitely more new world than old. Gripping tannin and medium+ to high acid and a long finish. Awesome wine that is in a really good place right now.
