Monday, October 15, 2012 - Popped and poured. Medium-plus purple/garnet hue, youthful. Outstanding nose delivers a potent Cabernet aromas of pronounced black currant and mint complimented by black fruits, dried rose petal, cedar, tobacco leaf, and even a touch of minerals. So lively and fresh. Medium-plus body. On the palate, this stays true to the nose and shows expressively refined notes again of black fruits, minty currant, cedar and an ever present herbaceous quality that leaves one continually reaching for another pour. The tannins are rounded and smooth on the lengthy finish. Such a nice Cabernet and one to pour for those who think Napa is unable to deliver big flavors without spoof. So great now, hard to resist...but should age well over the next 5+ years, if not much longer.

Quick comment: Talk about hitting a home run, this Cab over delivers for the price and if found for less than $50 is actually a "QPR" relative to other labels within the same tier.
