Tuesday, January 30, 2018 - Bought 6 bottles, this is my 3rd. Decanted an hour before consuming, and enjoyed with bone-in ribeye and baked potatoes.
This bottle is quite delicious, showing off gorgeous, perfectly ripened blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, with a hint of green pepper and soil notes, as well as some mint in the upper register.
The palate shows a full bodied, beautifully structured wine, with nicely balanced and refreshing acidity, to support the big fruit flavors. The tannins are refined yet still show great grip and tension, leading into a long and black-fruited finish.
This is a Napa stunner, and is my wife's favorite Cabernet...from anywhere. I admit, a hard one to deny...drink this beauty through 2025.
