Wednesday, June 7, 2006 - From barrel - to be bottled in July 2006. Dark ruby/garnet colour with orange on the rim. Huge, powerful nose of tar, roses, cherry, blackberry, minerals, and raspberry. Full-bodied, with layer after layer of complexity and notes of tar, cherry, roses, and currant peeking out. Very fine-grained tannins. Long, long finish, more than a minute in length, with replays through from the nose and palate. Only a baby. I can only imagine how good this will be in 20+ years. Outstanding. 97+ points.
