Thursday, March 19, 2009 - Loads of tar and licorice on the nose and palate. If you were to smell this blind, you would have guessed Sambuca. This bottle was very linear even after a two hour decant. Really no fruit at this time and a long acidic finish. Understandably, this is a great wine to have with Italian food. I think this wine is drinking very young and needs much more time to develop more secondary flavors.
