Community Tasting Note

92 Points

Friday, December 28, 2012 - Recent notes from others are notably accurate. Descriptors I especially agree with include "youthful wine, blackberry liqueur, herbs, blackcurrant, [dark] cherries, some cigar box, palate is medium to full bodied, slightly sour [not a criticism]; amalgam of dark fruits, mint and eucalypt."
I find the aftertaste long, but the palate is not fully coated - perhaps the famous Cabernet hole? Also I get a little alcohol heat (as well as most of the bitterness) on exit. The deliciousness of the fruit overcomes most nit picking. Delightful.
