Still going strong - the nose still has those espresso notes. Palate is starting to develop secondary notes, with some cedar/balsamic around the edges. Finish is long and strong, still plenty of fruit. Cellar kept since purchase.

90-92: still holding in there at almost 14 years old. Generous, full of black fruit, chewy, dense, with a nice finish. Still has a few years left. Cellar kept.
Not sure the Gordons still make this wine in this style any longer. It's big and muscular and fairly extracted. Oak is integrated. Wonderful. I bought a case in 2012 and it continues to pay dividends.

Wow, I really liked this. Well balanced and hitting on all cylinders. Fruit forward and nicely balanced. Acidity and alcohol were just right and the tannins were lush and polished. This was just velvety smooth on the palate. It definitely had some weight and power to it and I really enjoyed this. Great finish as well. It didn't last as long as I wanted it too but then again I just reached for my glass for another sip.

The wine looks Brick colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Blackberry, and Black currant (cassis). The body is Full. The wine has Angular texture. The wine finishes Long.

Just a bit tighter and spicier than the last bottle -- still terrific, just needed more time to open, which I did not have last night. Overall, fantastic wine.

Popped and poured for a client tasting, then sold 12 cases subsequently. Quite alluring -- they toned down the oak to a level that makes this wine approachable now (the 2002s are just now hitting their stride). Big, but well-balanced from start to finish, thanks to a hefty dose of merlot (and syrah?). Silky, with a finish that approaches big-hitter status. Fabulous at $50, utterly unbeatable at $25.

Last bottle - still incredibly young. Opens up quickly though. Still wonderful - consistent with prior notes.
