  • Opened, not decanted for 3-4 hours. This was very nice tonight and drinking well with mid weight black cherry flavors, lots of firm, brambly underbrush , earth, abit of nutmeg, some white pepper and perhaps the barest hint of cocoa. The tannins on the med length finish are chalky and firmish. Overall, this is quite masculine and rustic in style.

Revisited at 6 1/2 hours. Opened and softened quite abit. Very nice.

  • Tonight, after a couple of hours of double decanting, the nose on this bottle was very pretty with dark red fruit, very subtle floral undertones, earth, sous bois, some leather and some coffee notes. These aromas, unfortunately, didn't fully carry through to the palate. The flavors were abit on the soft and dilute side , while the finish was short and flat. I only have one bottle left and I think I'll drink it in the very near future.

  • A very nice Mazis drinking very well today. Med bodied with pain grille, sous bois and black cherry with very soft, dusty tannins on the finish, which was abit on the short side. This wine was at its peak about an hour after opening but unfortnately began to fade by hour 3. Still, quite an enjoyable bottle of wine.
