  • pretty much in agreement with buffalolou on this one.
a delicious wine, wish i had purchased more.
had with a dinner of filet mignon and a creamy potato mushroom
    gratin and it paired beautifully.
on the nose, dark fruit, earthy and peppery
palate is all black fruit and subtle oak
nice tannic finish makes it a great wine for rich meals.

  • Enjoyed this with beef short ribs braised in Petite Sirah (McManis 2010). This Rosenblum PS was big enough and fruity enough to stand up to the big meal.

    C: opaque plum
N: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, blackberries, it's very 'sweet and black'
P: just like the nose, dark chocolate, berries, with vanilla ("blackberries and cream")
F: long, slightly tannic, dusty and mouth drying tannins give this the finish I love.

This wine is so delicious and drinking so well now, there is no reason to sit on it. Enjoy!
