Paired with chicken breast with middle eastern spices and roasted carrots and Brussels sprouts- the initial taste impression was that of apples (not the sour apple that sometimes are predominate in chardonnays), nice crisp apple that faded to an apple pie finish. Did not detect much of the oak influence. Finish is medium in length. A solid wine.

Really nice bottle of wine. Drinking very good right now, really balanced, purity of fruit. Not showing much age yet, just in a really nice place. Wish I had more.

Blind tasting, served directly. Nose closed initialy of course, just a pure yellow lemon juice wich does not prepare you to the incoming experience . The mouth is the story of a long travel in three successive country. First a close island of freshness, and minerality , with dry winds. Then progressivly a welcoming meadow with brioche , butter and a lake with dairy glints. Surprisingly and without any effort the experience has the finesse to push you in altitude, with the sap of the fir, some menthol herbs and the high minerality of the granit. An exceptionnal trip wich time and wear will not damage easely.

Drank on balcony alongside Hidden Bench Chard. Enjoyed on it's own as well as with a variety of seafood. No real notes but solid wine with rich fruit in the cali style but not overdone. Probably worth the sale price, would have difficulty justifying the regular price.

first full bottle after the tasting 3 weeks ago. Showed similarly, with great depth. vanilla/oak clearly present but sufficiently restrained to permit some apple & citrus flavors to show through. very nice.

Light to medium yellow. Pleasant acid with silkiness associated with malolactic fermentation. Moderate fruit with lingering butter finish. Very pleasant wine.

Pale golden color. Somewhat floral, alcoholic aromas. Flavors of green apple and maybe a little citrus, with an interesting butterscotch note at the end. Medium body and a light touch of oaky richness.

Good Nose, good acidity, vibrant fruit, but falls flat on its face in the midpalate; nothing to it.

Grapefruit, vanilla, oak. Contrary to other notes, this does taste crisp and acidic to me. Still quite nice.

full creamy body now, don't wait longer to drink. Nice chardoney, oak, and balanced. this is not a crisp acidy wine. More of a white burgundy.

Oak. Something else, too, but mostly oak.

Paid tasting at the LCBO. Nose and front end were excellent, just a little trouble on the finish, may correct itself. 90+

Better than the Fog Dog but also more money. Phelps Freestone has been improving over the years.

Deep heavy mouthfeel, tart apples, lemon, citrus and some vanilla, finishes with some creamy oak. Nice minerality and acidity.
