A benchmark for this variety in the northern Rhone. Absolutely captivating aromas of black pepper, violets, and blackberry are suggestive more of Cote Rotie than Cornas, I could smell this all day. It is starting to tighten, but still shows beautifully complex fruit and perfectly balanced structure, though some air brings the fruit out to play.
