After reading tasting notes, may aging is what it takes. Let the wine breathe but it wasn't necessary. The nose is full of dark cherry and blackberry and earthy tones. And the taste followed with a long finish of black cherry.

well balanced nose and palate, crushed dark fruits with some layering, soft sturdy bottom, very enjoyable......looking at the price and other reviews after the fact, was hard to believe

A decent Cabernet Sauvignon; but an 85 is fair. I understand the 2008 was much better. Black currant and strawberry on the nose, with a little bit of earth. Supple tannins, mineral flavors, with enough acidity. For the price, a good entry level Cab.

Holding up well. Still like this. Still rich and slightly meaty with light oak and coffee. Good but not great. The 07 much better / more depth than the 08.

Jammy Strawberry, black currant on the nose. Almond, vanilla, dried plums on the palate. Pleasant moderate tannins. Weak aftertaste of non-distinct fruit - quickly faded away. Overall a pleasant, but not spectacular wine.

On the nose there's black pepper, strawberry, forest floor & vanilla ~ On the palate it's big bodied with supple tannins & flavors of black currants, milk chocolate, wet gravel & tobacco ~ A little more subtle & less obvious than most entry level new world cabs

If you are in a happy fun mood, this is the wine to choose for the evening! Compliments either food or dessert. Sweet taste, flowery aroma, full finish.

Classic purple-deep garnet in glass, aromas of cassis and smoke. Palate opens a bit tight, but after some time (or overnight after opening) shows nice complexity of black fruit, toasted oak, with some earthy and herbal notes late on the palate. For $11, a great QPR, but not atypical of Sonoma Cabernet fruit, just a touch on the green side. Well-made and balanced with good tannic structure, may peak in a year or two.

We drink a lot of their Sauvignon Blanc, but rarely try their reds. This one was on sale, as by wine store standards, 2007 is a ways back, I'm sure they are releasing their 2010's. There was no indication of being shop worn, it actually seemed quite youthful. I am a big fan of Alexander Valley Cabernet and most times can pick them out by the aroma of volcanic soil, and big ripe warm weather fruit. This one had all that, and even had the typical color of Alexander Valley, leaning slightly to the red side of purple. The nose had red raspberry, and cherry, with a big hint of way too much oak, that once it hits the palate, almost ruins the intense and cultivated fruit. Heavy swirling helped integrate, wish I had a decanter, or even a vinturi. Everything else reeks of quality and character. Well past medium bodied. Very balanced, except the oak, and seamless. The finish has some red licorice that is really enjoyable. Think this one could age several years.

Nice everyday drinker. Oak is a little heavy at first but settles down and then it seems slightly overdone on fruit side. Held up well on second night. Prefer the j. Lohr at this range in krogers.

Blackberry dominant fruit with mocha notes. Very dark garnet purple in color. A bit acidic and medium to soft tannins on the back of pallet. Not complex. Medium body. No visible legs. Easy drinker at this price point but uninspiring for a 2007. Even at this price I expected more. Would not buy another bottle

A Good Cab, nothing extraordinary about it, nothing unpleasant. Offered at a fair price ~ $14. Not disappointed in it, however, I may not necessarily re-purchase.

Does a good job for the price. Some darker red fruits with a touch of spice and tobacco. seems to show a bit of sweetness from the fruits. Tobacco and black cherry on day two.
