Mystery wine evening (@Private location): *** only for my memory, no detailed note or rating *** Glass: Spiegelau Definition Bordeaux Tasted double blind. Beautiful wine for sure, but not as exiting and remarkable as my previous Perrot. First world problem in today’s amazing lineup .

First pure Mazoyeres wine I've ever had; initially started out with a hefty dose of oak, but with about an hour this blew off and became more of a background note to show ripe dark fruits of plum and cassis, hints of damp earth and violet, and lots of spice notes which certainly could have been partly from the wood. The palate has good density and balance and while I would have like maybe a tiny bit more energy, it did not feel heavy at all. The finish was long and spicy. Overall this was very good and the wine has plenty of development ahead.
