Pretty much the same as note from 8/25. A nice simple easy quaffer that improves with some decanter time, this is enjoyable for what it is. Don't see any reason to wait.

Nice merlot from the excellent 2009 vintage, this wine is showing its age a little, but still has a surprising amount of fruit. Fully resolved and a bit simple, this should be enjoyed sooner than later.

Argument #1 for blending of at least two (if not even four) of the bord. varietals in these right bank wines. 100% merlot and showing it's overbearing ways - too much sweetness, big and brusque tannins, overpowering (almost cloying) choco-latte flavors and not enough of the requisite cherries, cigars or even greenness that would be appreciated from some blending. It's also way too young, could use another12 plus months on its side before it's popped. Some of these characteristics are denfinitely from the power of the '09 vintage, but it needs some balance on its palate attack, and I don't see age giving it the balance it will need.

This Merlot-based gem offers very appealing and modern (fruity/juicy) flavors that will put a smile on your face whether you like Old World wines or New World. At this price, it is pretty much a steal, too.

Soft and easy merlot, at peak or maybe a little past, this wine has delivered a lot of pleasure considering the price. Drink soon.

Off balance, a bit acidic, slightly bitter fruit, although good concentration. Maybe corked.

Chalky with soft tannins. Dark purple, well-balanced acids. Not a lot of fruit--you can barely tell it's a Merlot. Wonderfully subtle smells.

Ok but not that interesting, a bit of bitter finish. Might be better if we waited a year or so to drink.
