Another example of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that has been toned down in vegetal intensity from say 5 years ago. I think they are using trellis techniques to get the grapes riper, avoiding a lot of that herbal green flavor, which is just fine with me. Very distinctly New Zealand never the less. Lots of grapefruit, other citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Nice mineral earthiness. Full and complete in the mouth. Refreshing, but not overpowering acidity. Crisp long finish is begging for some food.

(13.5%) Like the Veramonte from Chile this one has proved to be a consistent winner from vintage to vintage. This is a forward wine with bright gooseberry flavors and a mouth coating (mineral tinged) lemon, lime acidity that leads to a crisp, dry, tangy finish. A pucker bomb for sure! This is certainly an excellent value for the price. A perfect summer wine or pair with the ceviche dish of your choice.

Typical NZ Sauv Blanc smells/tastes of grapefruit, lychee, etc. Would rate higher but too much acid. Never thought I would say this but could use a bit of oak to balance. Good for $10 but lacks balance overall.

Lots of points but very few words in the CT TNs for this wine, and I cannot add any myself since Dulcie downed the whole bottle before I could get near it. I can only add that the "onsale" price of $12 at Whole Foods is way over the top.

Crisp and quite dry, tropical fruits of melon, lychee, passionfruit, and lacking in the excessive cat pee characteristics of some of the cheaper NZ sauvignons. Really very good and amazing for this price.

Pale yellow; nice nose - more vegetal than tropical fruit, but both are present. The same tones follow on the palate, which is nicely balanced. Good QPR. 85+

- Yellow color. It's balanced with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a short finish.
