A bit thin for an Amarone. It has some of the classic rosins, but apart from that not to much Amarone style. On its own it is a nice glass of wine, although it is a cheap Amarone it is just a bit too expensive.

Chocolate covered cherries on the warm nose with notes of plum and mint. Fullbodied and somewhat meaty palate with tender grip and slightly lifted feel. Tart fruit, bitter notes, graphite, chocolate and liquorice. Some stemmy action in the mid-length aftertaste. A perfectly nice cheaper Amarone with quite alright typicity.

Garnet red, deep, yet translucent. Medium nose of black cherries, chocolate, dried fruits like raisins, alcohol notes. Off-dry yet balanced with good acidity qualifying is as a food wine. Spices, black pepper, bitter chocolate, plums. Full-body, tannins are a bit edgy. Medium 6-8 sec finish with that typical Italian twist. Various elements are not fully integrated and would benefit from more structure. Could be better balanced (aromas, tannins). Not as hot the 2006. Had it with bacon-wrapped stuffed oven-roasted pork during 'Het Mannenmaal' under supervision of Francine. Value/money = 8

Found it in the back of the cellar and yes to late for it. Amarone vibe is gone and nothing much left.

Oh! Nice! Really doing well. Picking up some secondary flavours but still full of primary verve. Open and drink and enjoy now!

Nice wine - Sweet candiced re fruit and smooth oaky creaminess - ok freshnes. Very pleasant and drinkable... maybe not BIG Amarone, but very tasty

Discount Amarone med OK til prisen ... Mangler dybde, harmoni og bredde. Ikke en dårlig vin - men Amarone NEJ
