I have tried several since purchased. For the most part, they were lean and closed down. This was the best. I think the additional bottle age helped. It is, however, a simple wine. Nothing wrong, but one dimensional.

Obviously this isn't a top tier Burgundy so it's lacking in several areas: the nose is weak, the fruit on the palate is good (not great), the finish is moderate, but those flaws don't make this wine bad. This is a good wine and a perfect example of what's missing in Oregon-Pinot priced under $20 that still has good acid and minerality, but isn't infused with jam and oak. I could easily have polished off the entire bottle tonight, and I will buy more when I have the opportunity.

Mt Tabor Fine Wines Red Burgundy Tasting (Mt Tabor Fine Wines): Refined? Subtle? Exquisite? Not so much. Fun? You bet. This is easy Burgundy. Burgundy in a fun shape. There's not a lot to think about here. Which can be good or bad, all depending on your mood. As a wine this is well built. It's not a mansion, not a chateaux. It's a solid log cabin. A $16 Burgundy that's nice to drink and expresses the charecter of the region? Yes please.
