bottle and fill excellent, cork was intact, but broke apart with extraction. Slightly dull, never achieving a brilliant old burg color, smokey nose with sous bois and leather - inviting, but the palate was old and tired. Not bad, but past best - we did not drink much of this choosing the younger Chambolle

Bricked medium dark cranberry red color with 1/2 inch clear meniscus; tobacco, dried mushroom, smoky, meat jus nose; tasty, mature, tobacco, smoky, green herb, tangy, tart meat jus palate; medium-plus finish
