  • Stewed, and a bit flat initially. Well past it’s prime still but holds together night 2. However Look past this and there is a wine of some complexity and subtlety especially with appropriately matched food. Still has lovely, soft lingering tannins and mouth grip.

  • Despite its age this wine still has subtle complexity with obvious terroir pedigree. Best matched with appropriate good to get the most out of it.

  • Awesome nose. Berries and forest floor.great sense of terroir. Flavor same. After 1.5 hrs of opening both nose and palate died and became quite muted. So great out of bottle but don't give it much air..

  • With a subtle stewed fruit nose. The palate was very soft and feminine with very long length. Great sense of Terroirs from a not so great year. Drinking superbly now, but preferably needs food to extract the subtlety of its flavours.

  • This wine is holdng together well given its age and the vintage. Even seemed to gain some complexity on the second night. Mature without browning. Very soft and delicate. Requires food to bring the best out in it, but still drinking nicely.

  • Hard to evaluate. "90 point" nose shows rose petal, elegance and nice delicacy. Palate is much less interesting with red cherry and strawberry flavors that seem over the hill and an earthy/ matured development that seems more flabby than classic for a young-to-mid-aged 1er. I have another bottle and don't know whether to drink up quickly or see what emerges on the back-end of the wine's evolution.

  • Purchased from Garagiste at the sale. This is a feminine wine, very light pomegranate color, with a thick meniscus. There was a light funk that blew off within minutes of pouring. The aromas are all fruit, with cherry dominating followed by very sweet/ripe strawberries. The pallet was slightly sweet with a very complimenting amount of acid. The finish was 10 to 15 seconds followed by nice amounts of tannins that hold on for about a minute. Not an incredible wine but I can’t find any big flaws. Price $30.
