Had very low expectations as previous bottle tasted like a Madeira and seemed decades past its best. This was completely different. A medium yellow that was within the acceptable depth of color. A bit of pineapple, but otherwise not much fruit. Taste was a full bodied ripe apricot - peaches. I certainly would not hold on to any and feel I got very lucky here.

ESTG Does '94 - '97 California Cab's (Roy's Place): Lovely delicate toast on the nose. I liked this alot & didn't find it as buttery as most Cali. chard's I've had. The palate showed a decent balance of tropical fruits and a long, pleasant finish with a hint of caramel. I found this to be a smooth, elegant wine with pretty decent balance.

Butterscotch and caramel. Barely drinkable at this point but must have been a great wine in its time.

Really nice mature chardonnay. Lots of caramel, butterscotch, citrus. Palate is creamy and smooth. Very long.

Deep golden color. Needs some air to display the nose of toast, yellow fruit, caramel. Powerful and long. Burgundian style.
