Did I really only pay $10 for this?? It's still showing the smokey notes I picked up in last bottle; also has some prominent sour cherries. Perhaps a bit thin thru the middle, but no signs of fading away. Wonderful QPR.

Nice, tasty, went well with dinner (use-up-the-leftovers version of penne with sausage, peppers, onions). Really enjoyed the dark, smokey notes ( some tobacco in there maybe?) But also found myself wondering where the fruit went. Enjoyable nonetheless.

This wine has really improved over the last year and is starting to be a really good value find. The funk that present in this wine a couple of years ago has dissapeared and a very nice old world wine is coming around. Only one left so I am going to let it sit for another year, could be a star by then...

Clean, medium garnet, medium+ viscosity. Pronounced deep black cherry and dried fig nose with a hint of black pepper. Cherry continues on the palate along with raisin and pepper spice. Dry, medium body, medium+ acid, finish and alcohol. Very good, balanced wine for the low price. Drinking well now and should be at its best within a year.

Dark purple in color. Graphite and earthy on the nose, but not much fruit. Medium bodied with a smooth finish. Great QPR for $10. From other notes, it looks like it has improved quite a bit over the last year. I think I will let most of my cache sit for another 6-12 months.

Actually found myself liking the second bottle better than the first time I opned on of these, but it had 4 months to settle down in cellar. This is an ugly colored wine of brownish purple with dark fruit and earth on the nose. More fruit flavors came through in this second bottle and the finish seemed to hold up better. Will give the next bottle a little more time still... worth the $10 WTSO bet.

Nice brick red color. Good acidity with a smooth finish. Had a good level of spice with a medium body and a very earthy nose. Worked well with a spinach ravioli stuffed with goat cheese and sun dried tomato and jalapeno infused chicken sausage.

Defying all logic and the advice of the reviewers I opened a bottle on arrival, afterall it is a $10 bottle of wine. In general I agree with the reviews it is an old world style of wine with an earthy nose, not bad just different in you are an American wine drinker. Nice fruit flavor and easy drinking wine. I am not sure where to go on finish and plan to let it sit overnight before having another glass. Go ahead, dig in...

Not bad but agree with otheres that waiting for bottle shock to go away after a couple of weeks might be better We had it Chinese and it did taste much better than alone prior to eating

Old world style. Barnyard. We like it buy might not serve it to our friends with a typical American taste. This first bottle was not fantastic. I'm wondering if this is what bottle-shock tastes like because we opened it within 10 minutes of delivery. We'll try again after a couple of weeks.

Very musty nose. Taste is fine but the smell diminishes the enjoyment. Could be a bad bottle. Will have to see when I try te others.
