Outstanding QPR. I agree with the comment on how this wine can easily stand up to a Ca Cab in the $125 range! Black licorice, sweet leather essence, blackberry, cassis and cinnamon spice aromatic expressions. Very well balanced with acid, fruit and tannins. The finish is also strong.

Decanted 30 min. This one was ready to go right from the start. Really nice kirsch and blackberry fruit, tobacco and earth. Absolutely delicious, and paired well with our grilled vegetables (and my NY steak!)

Friends and I tasted this at Wicked Cellars on 7/28/12. It had a ripe, dense and fruity bouquet of cassis, coffee, boysenberry, cinnamon, anise and spice aromas. The palate was ripe dense and full with flavors that followed the nose.

Doesn’t really come out of its shell until 3 hours in the decanter. Evolves in the glass between hours 3 – 4, then hits its peak window between hours 4 – 6.
This has either dramatically improved over the last 4 months, or I was just able to give it a little extra, well-deserved, consideration. Either way, this juice has definitely evolved to a whole other level that is really worthy of your time and undivided attention. Super concentrated on both nose and palate; and will stand up to most $125+ Cali-cabs out there. At $55, this is an easy contender for best deal of the year. Rich, ripe blackberry pie, coconut, and light tobacco notes in the background. Incredibly balanced and the showings of a top pedigree producer. Expect it will stay in this peak window through 2016.

Decanted 2 hours and consumed over 4 hours. This 2 hour period seemed to be just the right drinking window. A real crowd pleaser for those who like the deep, deep, dark, teeth-staining type, juice. A real intense bomb of dark plum & black cherry; and oh so smooth. Would have rated higher if it had brought a little more complexity to the party, but a very solid 92 pts, none the less. Definitely in it’s drinking window now, and the sheer fruit concentration will likely carry it into 2016. Didn’t seem to have much tannin structure to it though, so aging much past that could be a gamble.

Real bargain here, deep deep impressionistic fruit with subtle oak and finish of glossy subtleness. Bold tannin, some leather, cigar box, but not too much. . . I would like some more

A very fine bottle of cab - very approachable now, but should be good for a few more years.

Excellent cabernet. Still young and can sit a few more years.
