Was better than expected. This bottle was sitting lost in a rack and I presume that someone brought it over for a dinner years ago. A great deal of vanilla flavor which is quite pleasant. The body seems a bit thinner than a standard Cab. I wish I could comment on vs a more recent vintage of the same wine. I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised here.

Easy drinking CA red. Medium body and light for a cab. Not complex and soft tannins that will appeal to the majority looking for a fruit bomb. Nose has red fruit. Finish is decent. QPR is probably oK at average price of $10.

For $9 this is not a really bad wine. Nose and palate are fairly thin. Hints of dark berry in the nose. Taste is also dark berry. Certainly a nice wine for casual any day drinking.

Relatively closed, with an unbalanced bitterness. Medium bodied with a fairly simple flavor core. Passable, but will definitely look for alternatives in this price range.

Bogle makes a lot of wines that over-achieve (The Pinot Noir is awesome, Petite Sirah and Old Vine Zin great every year), so we are generally Bogle fans. This 2009 Cab does not quite measure up to over achieve. It is ok for 8.99. As with most Bogle wines, it is true to the varietal, but it didn't have the depth or fruit we have found with better Bogle wines. It was fine, no obvious imperfections, but not one we intend to repurchase. In this price range, I would look at Columbia Crest entry level or spend a couple extra bucks on their Grand Estate Cab. Don't let this sour you on Bogle, they make a lot of good wine, the Cab was just a disappointment.

Not what I was expecting for $10. I was looking for something familiar but different and Bogle’s Petite Sirah is one of my favorites. Having not tried the cab it fit nicely into something familiar but different. Different is defiantly what I got instead of a decent pop & pour cab. First taste was rough I was not going to buy another, maybe 83 points. Pop it in the frig and move on. The next day the wine settled down quit a bit and improved to 84 points. Pop open something else and back to the frig it went (the something else was not drinkable the next day). Day three was like “wow now this is a solid 87 point $10 wine”. Curious as I was I save a bit and popped it back frig. The wine held it 87 points overnight. Impressed, but I was looking for something to pop and pour four night earlier. Confused on how to rate this wine so I won't but will suggest it for those who buy box wine for the sole reason of not being able to drink a bottle fast enough before it turns south. It appeared to me this cab would be very serviceable on day five and still better than it was on day one.

Savory nose with dark fruit and cedar notes. A healthy dose of tannins with sharp acidity on the finish. Food definitely helps to bring out the softer side and highlights the fruit and oak. Where the 08 was a ready to drink on it's own, I feel the 09 needs a little bit of time before it get's there. About to buy myself a few more bottles to find out!

(13.5%) Dark fruit with some eucalyptus on the nose and the overwhelming aromas of sunscreen. SPF50 perhaps. Medium to full bodied on the palate with juicy cassis and dark cherry notes. A creaminess emerges on the mid-palate and lasts into a toasted, oaky, vanilla spiced finish. Little tannins or acidity to speak of downgrading the ability to pair this one with food widely. That said good for chili, a hamburger or to warm you up on a cold night. Quaffable and pleasant but better for drinking than tasting. Long a fan of Bogle they continue to deliver (despite the sunscreen) at the sub $10 price point.

Cassis and ripe strawberries on the nose with some cab lift, bell pepper and a touch of slightly charred oak. Fullbodied and rather smooth fruity palate with decent acidity. Cabernet fruit and some vanilla to spice it up. Ok length. Not as boring as Cabernet can be, but pretty boring still. Paired quite alright with some ribs. 15€ in Finland makes this a definite no-no.

Purchased for $9. I've been on a "Bogle kick" as of late. I've been enjoying their wines with simple summer fare (burgers, steaks, homemade pizza, etc.). The '08 Petite Sirah was delicious, as was the '09 Old Vine Zin and the '09 Pinot. So I had "higher" expectations for this one. However, it did not live up to them. Thinner wine, less complex than the others. Red raspberry, vanilla, oak, cassis. Good, but I think I was expecting something "bigger" like most of Bogle's wines. Good

Held up nicely. Still a lot of fruit up front. Uncomplicated but an easy wine to like.

A bit jammy and sweet. Nice with cheese and crackers. Not sure it would hold up to a good steak.
