Brilliant deep red, dark core. Blueberry, lightly briary, cassis, oak well integrated. Palate delivers the same flavours with lots of plum jam too, in silky smooth style. Fruit sweet, violets, good acidity, lots of fine tannins, not overly firm, dense but relatively refined.

Big, fruity, intense and tannic. A very primary dark fruit and a strong dose of toasty oak with bonfire flavors. Quite modern in style, very dense, but the fruit lacks a bit of sweetness. It feels very dry and tight on the finish despite its fruit forward style. Might just need a few years in the cellar. - 89+ points

It is a big and fruity white while never overwhelming. Dense black fruits, bitter cherries and dark chocolate combine with mineral, juicy acidity. It is a wine to age for many years, don't drink before 2018. 95 Points Wine Enthusiast

My 93+ vote is for the wine on a stand-alone basis; if I hd to give it a QPR rating it would depend on where you live: 93 in Europe, much lower in the US. This wine is a very poor QPR in the US, where there are many fine and better wines available at its $55 price point. It costs half as much in Europe, and at that price I strongly recommend it.
Deep, dark blood red color, I don"t full agree with another tracker who described it as a typical "black" wine of Cahors; there are other Cahors that are "blacker". No age showing in the color. This wine has the same fragrances as flavors: mulberry, cassis and a wet-stone minerality; excellent acidity, tannins under control; the oak is prominent but not overwhelming. Very nice residual sweetness.

My first bottle from the 2010 vintage - didn't expect it to be so well integrated already. Dark red / violet, a true "black wine" from Cahors. For me ready to drink now, but will probably further improve over the next 5 years.

schöner dunkler Malbec aus Cahors. Dunkles fast schwarzes violett. In der Nase Minze, Leder, Rauch. Tannine subtil vorhanden, prägen aber nicht so wie bei den Tannat Weinen aus der Region. Schon was feines. 30€+

Rich nose - lovely classy defined fruit, very inviting, dark chocolate and cassis; big structure, quite a tannic grip but impressive concentration, silky and well managed. A bit oaky at present but will no doubt improve with age as the oak integrates and the tannins soften. Excellent potential - very well made wine.

Of course much too young, but with ample breathing the class of this wine is already apparent. Great fruit, structure and balance. The tannins are sweet and well integrated, but of course still forceful. Needs probably 4 to 6 years.

Really worth the wait. Perfect early drinking window, with lots of dark berry fruit, refreshing acidity, sweet, resolved tannins.
