  • Ratings difficult to pinpoint because, like many great 2005s, it was vinified to open and flower years from now. Serious dark, dark Burgundian purple/red, with the steel-backed spine of a Ponsot powerhouse wine. At present, restrained fruit of a cherry, young wood overlay, lots of earthy terroir, and an unmistakable elegance to the delivery through the entire mouth. This remains somewhat closed and can only develop more complexity and fruit with proper time.
