After tasting the 2003 with disappointing results, I decided to try the last of the 2004s. A dark fruited, spicy nose. Plums and warm spice on the palate. Bit harsh on the mid-palate. Fully resolved tannins, decent acidity and balance. A bit of heat comes through. Finishes short and undistinguished. Not dead, but I'd drink up. I liked it better than my wife who sent me to the cellar for something else.

Spectacular. Filled up the room in the decanter, with an amazing aroma of spice box and tobacco. Fantastic smooth, long 30 second + finish. Definitely will seek out more.
