  • Opened this up March 2015 and it is passed its time and the cork broke in the bottle.

  • Tonight's 'battle of the fruit bombs' between this and the 2008 Pirramimma Cab, as I stated with that review I think we are just evolving away from these, as both were truly overpowering with food, and they both had similar notes as well, good, but very one dimensional - Black, full bodied with a nose of extreme plum, black fruit, mocha, cedar, vanilla, simple, fruit forward, without balance in any form, intense on the palate, sweet, smooth with very good length, good, but way over the top!! (87 Points).

  • Decanted but first glass consumed right away; Dark red with purple overtones; strong aromas of blackberry (blackberry Jello per my wife) and oak; initially a little rough and edgy but settled down into an enjoyable mix of blackberry, cassis, and a hint of licorice with moderate oak followed by spicy but light tannins. Somewhat thin mouthfeel and an average finish. Nice experience overall. Think this needs a little more time, maybe one more year.

  • Dark, brooding. Cigar box and black fruit

Also 9/1/12 inky in glass. Chewy, balanced intensity on palate. Distinctly fruit driven with half tannic chewiness
