TASTED BLIND. AT FIRST I DIDN'T GUESS IT WAS AN ONTARIO WINE BUT EVENTUALLY THE ACIDITY AND NOSE CAME THROUGH. GOOD WINE WITH BALANCE OF FLAVOURS AND FRUIT WITH MEDIUM FINISH. GLAD I HAVE ANOTHER BOTTLE IN THE CELLAR.

Lunch with Phillip. From memory. Excellent typicity, plum, black fruits and licorice, with some oak notes. Tons of tannins, much of it oak, sweet fruit, slight warm, medium length finish. Got better with air.

Very good Canadian merlot with tannins softer than expected for the youthful wine. Fruit is solid and the oak is not overwhelming.
Worth drinking now and for a few more years (2-4)
