Entering prime drinking window. Smell of raspberries, dark cherries, some tar and earthy notes. Very nice Palate: excellent concentration but still elegant and styled wine, Good structore of slightly rought tannins, good accidity and long dry finish. Excellent quality here but let it breath at least 2 hours in decanter. It will blossom and pay you back.

- Brick color - Fine wine. Very dark color but not too full body. Decanted for a short while, it was enough. Good to drink now. Not sure whether it will develop more complexity with time.

Deep ruby Color. Pronounced nose with lots of mint, vanilla, Fennel, smoke, pepper, black currants, green leaves. Med+ acidity, high alcohol, full body, Med+ tannins, Med+flavor intensity, Med finish. Very round and sweet mouth, with quite some mint and fennel, interesting! No decanting, definitely in the drinking window now. Went perfectly with the wagyu beef.

Aromas of cedar, fennel, dried plum, and wet granite. Black cherry, leather, and tart raspberries with firm but balanced tannin. Enjoyed with a steak Caesar salad (not the sticky, creamy kind) on JGM’s first night in his new job. In our income bracket, this is how I want to enjoy merlot. Perhaps a bit thin on the finish, but a bit of decanting helps this. 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc Purchase again when next in the shop.
Household note: Loved by both of us.

GRANDS CRUS CLASSES OF SAINT EMILION 2019 TASTING OF 2016 VINTAGE, nose of red cherry, black cherry, and fresh spring flowers, same on the palate, medium/big body, tasty, mouth filling fruit, rich fruit, almost elegant, has fleshed out nicely since my last note but still needs 2 more years cellar time, and a long finish.
By the glass at the BA lounge, LHR . Freshly opened bottle, first glass out of it. Dark, youthful purple rim but the wine is very much round and welcoming. Well mannered on oak and ripeness, almost silky and with a good structure. Very solid wine and with good life ahead . 90-91

Beautiful, strong nose, blackberries and cherries. Very smooth in mouth, with dart fruit, but also spice and hints of licorice. Good concentration, not very tannic, good to drink now, but I would say enough to last and few more years. 91-92 points.
Consumed over two nights. The wine has a healthy amount of sediment. It is ready to go. Although perfectly pleasant, the wine is very dark and there is not a great deal of fruit left (Not sure how much there was to begin with). At 45 dollars for a wine from a great year, one naturally hopes for more.

i will disagree with all the experts, I coravin'd a glass over the weekend and we drank the bottle last night. The nose is all fruit, the palate is dark cherry, blackberry, fig and olive. The finish was long, smooth with hints of dried thyme. Overall a very nice wine which will most likely improve with a few years of age.

Licorice, ripe dark berries, jam, coffee bean and earthy scents lead to a plush, ripe, juicy, delicious, plush textured wine that is one of the few 2010 Bordeaux wines that can be enjoyed in its youth.

Exactly what you expect from a 2010 Bordeaux. Deep, classy. Drink now or maybe keep it 2-3 more yrs

Very muted first night even after 2 hours of air. Much more expressive on 2nd night. Will give other bottles some more time.

MW Institute 2010 Bordeaux Tasting (Sydney, Australia): Sultana, violet and earth. Palate is slightly more restrained, with the fruit bright but moderated by the oak structure. Medium length.

Full bodied and long finish, this is a big wine. Jammy, and lots of plum and hint of caramel but not too sweet. Very well balanced.
