Slow o'd 5 hours. Fair minerality, well-integrated. This performed reasonably well, but nothing to really get excited about. It was understated and integrated.

- Garnet color and aromas of raspberry, cloves, cedar, cherry and dusty and has flavours of raspberry, mint, cherry and dusty - With salmon. Classic understated French Pinot Noir. Lovely. Opens up with time in air.

Popped and poured. Takes an hour or so to come around. Balanced effort with aromas of raspberry, red berries, violet and cedar. Medium body and juicy texture. Finishes well. 89-90

It does need an hour to wake up, even then, somewhat disappointed; expected more. Wasn't very impressed with any of the recent vintages 2006-2009. The 2005 was wonderful. I will keep my other bottle of this 2009 a further 2 years (till 2015).

Sauvage and red cherry nose leads to bright red fruit along with mineral and forest floor notes in the palate. Moderate acidity keeps the wine fresh and almost juicy but the finish is a bit short. Needs about 1 hour of air and better than a bottle a few months ago. Would not decant or over expose to air as it shut down after 4-5 hours. Prefer the Corbeux bottling but this is a solid GC VV for the $.

A bit too new still. Bouquet: Mild musk, blueberry, forest floor and moss, fleeting sandstone. Palate: Soft, wet, simple, too tight, leans briefly to dandelion and bing cherry.

Pop & pour, drank over 2 hours. Lighter bright color, nice berries with a little earth on the nose. On the palate this Burgundy was weak with citrus on the finish. Initially I was disappointed and expected more for my $45. The second half of the bottle seemed to wake up with more fruit on the palate. Enjoyed finishing the bottle, but don't think I'll purchase anymore.

This wine was quite subdued. There wasn't a lot going on, but it was very well integrated and easy drinking.

Slow to open up. 90 min or so (unlike the 2010 which peaked at 45min).
Possibly better on the second evening, but disappointing nevertheless.
