  • Popped and poured, this took about an hour to really sing. Very energetic crushed herb / sweet red fruit / touch of sous bois / dusty earth and hints of spice nose. On the palate very sappy reasonably ripe red fruit with fairly balanced acidity (not quite soft but not as energetic as the nose) and the tannin melted away. Thoroughly effortless and enjoyable. What this lacks in complexity (lets not hope for too much from a village wine) it makes up for in balance and straight up enjoyment. I can think of many "better" bottles that haven't been anywhere near as easy to finish.
