Light straw color, with light body and crisp mouth feel. When overly-chilled, notes of white oak and moderate acidity somewhat overpower the fruit (think grapefruit and green apple), with a relatively short, flinty finish.
Do NOT serve overly chilled -- best to let it warm up to almost cellar temperature to reveal more pear-like qualities and a little more body.
Overall, a pleasant wine to quaff, or enjoy with lighter fare, particularly shellfish.

- Medium forming legs and aromas of lemon and almond and has flavours of almond and lemon - Excellent example of a Viognier. Slight hint of coconut amidst the rounded citrus favors.

The Rhone Rangers (City Winery, 155 Varick Street, New York, NY 10013): The nose was floral and spicy with notes of olive and reminiscent of a warm spring day. On the palate, it was silky smooth with medium weight as flavors of rich pear, spiced apple, and inner floral notes filled the senses. The finish was long and palate-coating with soft white fruits and spice.

Consistent with the first bottle. Simply outstanding. Creamy peaches, wonderful mouth feel and finish! Only saddened to see my last bottle disappear.
