  • As a huge fan of Roadhouse I'm biased but this has everything a true Burghound would love. First a funky nose...truffles, earth, peat moss overlaying a little cherry, which turns to cherry cola on the palette, with strawberry, plum, blackberry, currents and spice. There's a touch of vanilla cream on the finish which is well structured. The earthy/ organic nuance continues thru the tasting. For lovers of this style (like some Oregon offerings) this is the Cali answer and consistently better IMO. However not all Roadhouse offerings do this style, which is why I love what they do...shake it up and surprise you. Of course next time I visit them I'll be raving about this one in person.

  • A huge wine, but not overpowering. Intense red raspberry and blackberry. Lively acidity from start to finish. Subtle earth coming in at the end. Tight gripping tannins on the long finish.
